Fisher-Black takes final podium at Vuelta Burgos

Kiwi 3rd overall on last day

Finn Fisher Black finished off a solid week of racing at the Vuelta Burgos with 3rd place overall, finishing off a satisfying week for the Emirati team who won a memorable stage on yesterday’s time-trial with the resurgent Jay Vine.

The final stage was won in a sprint by Pavel Bittner (DSM firmenich) with Ivo Oliveira up to fore in 8th spot. Fisher Black took the lower step of the final podium behind Max Poole (DSM firmenich) and overall winner Sepp Kuss (Visma LAB).

Fisher-Black : “It’s nice to be up on a podium again. I think the team performed well all week, particularly yesterday in the TT where Jay took the win and I put in a solid ride too.Hopefully I can take this form into the last part of the season and to my next race at the Tour of Denmark.”
